"When we consider what the Lord Jesus Christ has done for us, it is wonderful; it is totally unrivalled by anything that any other man has accomplished by way of physical effort, and mental effort too, that we might be saved. It leaves us totally bowed, totally humbled and in utter need of his forgiveness."

"Greater love hath no man than this, that a man should lay down his life for his friends" (John 15:13).

"Faith is our only foundation: our trust in God’s grace and His redeeming love (Jude 20). "God's work-which is by faith" (1 Timothy 1:4). We are to ... "Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him." (Colossians 2:7). Upon faith knowledge can build. Not all knowledge puffs up ... The right kind of knowledge is essential in our spiritual building: we are to "grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18). Our faith and knowledge must be crowned by love. Each of us has adventured upon the task of building his house of faith on Christ’s words."

"Men become righteous before God not by attaining a standard of sinlessness of which they are incapable anyway, but by His putting them in the right with Himself, by His receiving them into His fellowship; and this He does by the forgiveness of their sins" (F.T. Pearce, The Christadelphian, 1967, page 393). This is the very essence of the Gospel, "the power of God unto salvation". In it we see how "God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him" (2 Corinthians 5:20). Any lesser concept of the Gospel, any shallower knowledge of God, is not the Gospel at all, but a human sentiment which, in view of the fulness of the revelation in both Old and New Testaments, must surely leave men "without excuse"."

"He that has clean hands, and a pure heart" (Psalm 24:4)

"Hands doing good are clean hands, and these are the hands which will merit for us the blessing from the Lord, and righteousness from the God of our salvation in that day when our Lord comes to reward his servants according to their works."

- Arthur Mallinder

"Christ’s "gospel of the kingdom" is so simple and beautiful that children soon apprehend it, and thus "come unto him." In obeying the truth by being “baptised into Christ” (Galatians 3:27), they become "children of God by faith in Christ Jesus" (Galatians 3:26). When this is done in all humble sincerity, whether in youth or mature life, it is "receiving the Kingdom of God as a little child"; and if that frame of mind be faithfully and obediently maintained to the end, "an entrance shall be ministered unto you abundantly into the everlasting Kingdom of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ" (2 Peter 1:11)."
