Resource Manager
Christadelphian Meal-a-Day Fund United Kingdom Christadelphian Meal a Day (CMaD) What CMaD does "CMaD supports sustainable social development projects in some of the poorest countries in the world. It is presently working in Africa, Asia, Eastern Europe and South America. CMaD works primarily with grass roots, locally run projects to overcome the problems of hunger, disease, disability, destitution and homelessness. CMaD-financed projects provide clean drinking water to many villages in Africa and Asia, improved food production via agriculture and irrigation schemes, essential basic healthcare and sanitation, and nursery and primary education to poor, refugee and HIV/AIDS orphan children. CMaD is also the sole supporter of a number of orphanages in Kenya and two specialist schools for the physically disabled, one in Cameroon and one in Kenya. Projects are either run directly by local management committees or through suitably qualified and positioned charities or non government organisations (NGOs), who partner with CMaD to deliver key expertise where required." Around that time, the US Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger, had made a speech concerning the need to try to provide at least “one meal a day” to every person on earth. This struck a chord with the founding committee and the Christadelphian Meal-a-Day fund was born."
