College Aims

 

"The College aims to assist each individual student to achieve their maximum potential in the following areas:

  • Spiritually - by providing an environment where students can learn to know God and His teachings from the Bible;
  • Physically - by providing opportunities to develop sporting pursuits, physical exercise and a healthy lifestyle
  • Intellectually - by providing for the maximum development of each student's academic potential in the preparation needed for their vocation and for participation in contemporary Australian society;
  • Emotionally - by providing a caring, supportive community environment where Christ's teachings are practiced every day and opportunities given for students to learn that values and emotional responses need to be consistent with Christ's teaching;
  • Social Education - to encourage students to become increasingly responsible for their own behaviour, to work well with others, make conscious decisions about their lives and to develop tolerance towards and acceptance of others.

College Mission Statement

 

The College exists to provide for students a Christ-centred environment that:

 

  • encourages them to become fully aware of their potential as a person formed to manifest the character of God;
  • fosters the need to explore and develop an appreciation for and active commitment to, the godly values of honesty, purity, diligence and excellence;
  • helps all students to achieve their full potential by encouraging them to strive for excellence, using their talents in the service of others, and for the benefit of themselves;
  • provides a secular and religious curriculum based on Biblical values offering a wide range of quality educational opportunities so as to foster the intellectual, emotional, physical, spiritual and social development of students;
  • encourages respect for authority and for the standards of the College;
  • recognises the value of parents within the College Community and supports them in their role as the prime educators of their children;
  • helps students to feel accepted, valued and loved;
  • assists the development of the knowledge and skills necessary to earn a living and for success in life and relationships in the general community and with other cultures;
  • is accessible to as many Christadelphian children as practical;
  • makes appropriate provisions for students with disabilities."
