Resource Manager
26 February 2018 "Many who are troubled cast themselves upon their beds or stretch themselves in weakness. But how many sleep? The seeking eyes of enemy forces and the march of soldiers of the uprising were no terror to David, once he had cast himself upon God. How often do we allow our fears and oppressions to pursue us throughout the hours of daylight and to haunt our hours of sleep? How often do we take our cares to bed and find them refreshed and strong in the morning whilst we ourselves are fatigued through anxiety? “Cast thy burden on the Lord” is the counsel of Scripture." - H. May we not reasonably take them as from the Father in Heaven to children who may be old according to human standards but who still need much guidance?" - I. Resource Manager
28 February 2018 "... The exhortation is not difficult to apprehend, if hard to follow; when we know that some course of action, whether the issue is large or small, is contrary to the will of God, we should summon our energies to resist temptation and not allow our resistance to surrender to the thinking of the flesh. Temptation, if it is indulged, “brings forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, brings forth death." - T.J. BarlingA Foolish King (1944)
